Claims payout exceeds clients expectations
During an exceptionally heavy downpour our client's valley guttering overflowed into their warehouse.
As paper processors, the warehouse was full of huge rolls of paper. We got the call on Monday morning and were on-site with our loss adjuster the same day. The insurers were notified immediately but couldn't send their own loss adjuster for another week.
We agreed with the insurers that our client do whatever was necessary. Our client's expectation was that they'd lost £13,000 of stock but working with our loss adjuster the claim was calculated to be £22,000 which the insurers paid without question having been presented with all the facts and figures to substantiate it, much to the delight of our client.
